Sphinx

Here is a picture of a Sphinx. I cut out the sparkley gold paper and glued it into my sketch pad. I also used my sparkley gel pens. I got the idea to make a sphinx from a picture I saw in the 7th grade classroom in my school.

Girl in Winter and some Cursive

I drew this is school on Monday. It is a girl outside in wintertime.

I have been practicing my cursive. I have a paper that show me what all the letters should look like. we will learn to do cursive in school after the winter break.

Since I wrote in pencil and it's hard to read mommy is going to type it for you too:

Celebrate your birthday at Jump Zone today. We will give you cake and ice cream. You can slide down the a huge firefighter slide! There's a birthday room with a coat hanger and a table. You are welcome to bring in drinks and snaks. Bring in a present and set it on the floor. Thank You.

(Mommy Note: Maria went to a party at Jump Zone last year. I think she is writing about what she remembers from the event, but it reads more like an advertisement.)

My Birthday!

These are very late, my birthday was last week, now I am 7 years old. We had an art party. Everyone got to make a piece of art to take home. This is what I made.

My cousin Emma made one too, but we didn't get a picture of it, She did make this really neat picture with stamps and markers.

I got so many great gifts. A lot of art supplies from Grandma Heringer and Aunt Stacey, Uncle Neil, Colton and Emma. There was glitter glue, pipe cleaners, foam pieces and pom poms, WOW! An outfit and Crayola Explosion toy from Grandpa Bob and Grandma Judy. A Webkinz Orka whale from my best friend Sarah, I named him Nudgie. Aunt Jenn and Micheal gave me $10.00, I'm saving it. Aunt Megan and Uncle Adam gave me a great pink soccer bag, shiny pink soccer ball, pink water bottle, and pink tiebacks for my hair. Also a doggie bank to paint. I already painted it I have to wait for mom to get more batteries so she can take a picture. I had such a great day, and I loved all my gifts.

Rainbow Mountains Secret Place

Here is Rainbow Mountain's secret place. It's rainbow so every time I go there I will enter a new part. The jewels on the trees are fruits, the color of the fruits are different then the color of real fruits. I used Gel Pens for the dirt and I cut out the trees with scissors. The shapes at the bottom where punched out. The shapes of the paper punchers were ovals,circles, but I didn't use the squares or the flowers.

Here are some animals, I made a dog,a seahorse and a fish.At the bottom I have a rose,a cupcake,a jellyfish and a Lego.I used a fake knife to put lines on things.I didn't cut the things out with the knife.

A story

I haven't had much time to draw since school and soccer started, but I have been writing my own stories. This one is about our pet gerbils at school. Sr. Catherine told us all about them so I wanted to make a story about them. You should click on the pictures to make it big enough to read.

The Magical Wizard

Here is a magical wizard, he likes to cast spells. He also likes to read, see his bookcase full of books. Some of his books are spell books, and some are just to read. He has two wand, the one he is holding is the not as powerful as his star wand on the table.
